James D. Marker

DOVER - James D. Marker, passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 70. James was born on Jan. 8, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Eugene and Wilhelmina (Winters) Marker. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. James owned and operated a flower shop for over 25 years in the Newark area. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Middletown. James is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Wanda Marker; two sons, William Marker of Dover and John Marker of Oregon; brother, Eugene Marker of San Francisco, Calif.; sister, Pamela Hay of Arizona; and two grandchildren, Brandon Lambert and McKenna Marker. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.
