DOVER - James Christie of Dover died, after a battle with cancer, Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, in Green Valley Pavilion, Smyrna. He was 77.

Mr. Christie was born April 5, 1929, in New York City.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Christie, as a civilian, worked as a longshoreman.

He is survived by his extended family of friends and acquaintances of Luther Towers.

Gathering in remembrance will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Activities Room, Building 4, Luther Towers, Dover. Pastor Jay Mast and Hospice Chaplain Russ Kessler will officiate.

Burial will be private in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.

Arrangements by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
