DOVER - Jacqueline K. Hutchings died at her daughters' house in Oklahoma on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015. Jacqueline was born July 20, 1931 in Utica, N.Y. to the late Walter and Kathleen Rafferty Smith. During her lifetime, she worked as a bank teller, tax preparer, assistant pool manager, swim team coach, school bus driver, and PIAA swimming official. She graduated with an AD in nursing from Bucks County Community College, and a BS from St. Joseph's Maine. As a nurse she worked at Temple University Hospital as an OR nurse, and later as head nurse of Short Procedure Unit. She then worked at Medical College of PA as Director of Same Day Surgery. She joined the BPOE 1903 in 1990. As a member of the Ladies of the Elks, she served as treasurer and then president for 2 years. During her membership she served as a member of the House Committee, Breakfast Committee, and many years on the Bingo Committee. She was active in sports, swimming basketball, skiing and in later years golf. She enjoyed crocheting and especially her dogs, Jet, Point, Feather and blessed with her late companion Boomer and current companion, Obiwan. (Which she fondly referred to as her "Jack Russell Terror". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Angus Hutchings in 2003. Mrs. Hutchings is survived by two sons, Robert Hutchings of Jacksonville, Fla., and Steven Hutchings and wife Sandra take out Sandra of Newtown, Pa.; daughter Karen Sissons and husband Andrew of Chouteau, Okla.; and grandchildren and lots of grand puppies Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to any facility that is a "No Kill" facility or something to that effect. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guest book signed at
