FELTON - Irma M. Hrupsa, of Felton, passed away at Delaware Hospice Center on Oct. 31, 2010, surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was 90. Born March 1920, in Ostratice, Czechoslovakia, to Zigmond and Otilia Jankovick. In 1937, she came to the United States to live with her cousin and in 1939, she met the love of her life, Charlie. They married in 1941, bought a farm and raised their family. Irma was a home maker and what a loving home she kept. She was a most excellent cook! She combined European and American cooking and what a treat! She loved her family, friends and neighbors who visited her on the farm. She always made everyone feel welcome and right at home. She was also well known for her exemplary sewing, crocheting and clothes making abilities. She will be remembered by all who knew her best as a remarkable loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who instilled love, devotion and loyalty to her family. Throughout her illness, she was always a regal lady that loved to joke and kid around without any complaint. She was always filled with love, happiness and joy. Mrs. Hrupsa was a most faithful member of St. Bernadette's Church for many years. She leaves behind a most loving family who will sorely and greatly miss her. She was greatly loved by all family, friends and surrounding neighbors. Her spirit will remain in all who knew her best. Special thanks to her caregiver Clara Orozco and Joy Bishop as well as the most dedicated and caring people of Delaware Hospice. She is survived by her granddaughter, Ann Pearson of Felton; a beloved great-granddaughter, Jessica Pearson of Felton; son-in-law, Charles Pearson of Harrington; brothers, Joseph Jankovick and Tony Jankovick of Czechoslovakia; sister, Bertha Horska of Czechoslovakia; and numerous cousins throughout the world.
