DOVER - Irene L. Harvey of Dover passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Mrs. Harvey was born May 25, 1930 in North Bowers Beach, Delaware to the late George W. Hall and Mary E. Martin Hall. She had worked on a dairy farm for many years before working for 10 years at the Dover Air Force Base and then 15 years in Food Service at the Kent County Building and Administration Building. Mrs. Harvey enjoyed fishing, dancing, crafts, and cross stitching. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Dover and the Frederica Senior Center. Mrs. Harvey was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Harvey, Sr.; daughter, Mary Ankenman; sons, Herbert Harvey, Jr., Joey Harvey and Bobby Harvey. She is survived by sons, Jake Harvey of Camden, Mark Harvey of Camden, and Charlie Harvey of Frederica; daughters, Alice Goulet of Felton, Irene Peterson of Felton and Darlene Harvey of Frederica; brother, William Hall of N. Bowers; sister, Dorothy Paradee of Frederica; 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Saturday, Mar. 1, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Barrett's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
