GREENWOOD - Hugh H. Carroll, 59, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2016, surrounded by loved ones at his home in Greenwood. He is survived by his mother, R. Marie Carroll, of Greenwood; his companion, Corinne Dries, of Greenwood; his daughters, Abigail Carroll of Bridgeville and Angela Carroll-Baker of Greenwood; his sister, Pamela Cannon of Bridgeville; three grandchildren, Aisling Carroll, Lane Baker, and Eli Baker; and many loved ones and friends. Hugh was born on October 3, 1956, and was a lifelong resident of Greenwood. Hugh was an avid Ham Radio operator for over 30 years. He was a poultry farmer for many years, as well as a journeyman's electrician, working for Border's Electric and Satterfield & Ryan. The last eight years he worked for Delaware Coast Line Railroad as chief mechanical officer, or as he would say "main grease monkey". A private Celebration of Life Event will be held in the near future. Arrangements was entrusted to Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood.
