Harrington - H. R. "Ronnie" Collison passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2018, from his home surrounded by his loving family. Ronnie was born in Ridgely, Md. to the late, Harry Ray and Virginia Lee Collison.
Ronnie served his country proudly and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a Transportation Manager for Beracah Homes of Greenwood, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Ronnie was a hard worker all of his life, and whether he worked from sun up to sun down, he made sure he was at home at night to be with his family.
In years past, Ronnie enjoyed playing ball and fast pitching for the Ruritan. He also enjoyed boating with his family. Ronnie was always inquisitive and asking questions. He was a jack of all trades, and always knew what to do, and usually delegated how to fix it. He was always a good boss and treated everyone well. Ronnie's joking personality and love for his family will be greatly missed.
Ronnie belonged to the Union United Methodist Church of Burrsville, and in years past, he was a member of the American Legion, and the Andrewsville Ruritan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Janet Hayman, Billy Ray Collison, and Wayne Collison.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Eunice Collison; sons and daughter-in-laws, Glenn (Rebecca) Collison, Philip (Lisa) Collison, Michael Collison; grandchildren, Roni Rene Collison, Randy Collison, Zane Collison, Zara Collison, Kaylee Collison, Maycee Collison; great grandson, Beau Wayne Collison.
Funeral Services will take place at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1 p.m. with a visitation for family and friends two hours prior to the service. A private interment will take place at the Denton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to The Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 248 East Chestnut Hill Road, Suite 4, Newark, DE 19713 - www.CCHFoundation.net
