Hilda (Robbins) Bryan, 92
SECRETARY, Md. - Hilda (Robbins) Bryan, of Secretary, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at the Seaford Retirement and Rehabilitation Center. She was 92.
She was born Dec. 9, 1915, in Cambridge, and was the daughter of the late Richard J. and Ada (Tyler) Robbins.
Mrs. Bryan was a graduate of Cambridge High School.
She was a housewife who enjoyed the many pleasures of homemaking.
Mrs. Bryan was a lifetime member of Zion United Methodist Church.
She was honored by the Cambridge Senior Homemakers for her 55 years of service to the club.
Her sweet disposition will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, George W. Bryan Jr., on July 1, 1989. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Oneita R. Truax, Emma R. Eby, Stella Robbins and Anna R. Dunn; and two brothers, Calvin and Clifford Robbins.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly B. Blades of Seaford, Del., and Barbara B. Landon of Chestertown. In addition there are four grandchildren, Michele Landon of Federalsburg, Lori Batts of Salisbury, Billy Landon of Chestertown and Bryan Blades of Chevy Chase. Her great-grandchildren include R.J. Batts and Grace Batts, both of Salisbury, and Briar and Hallie Landon, both of Chestertown.
A funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 700 Locust St., Cambridge. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The Rev. Larry Eby of Deerfield, Pa., will be officiating.
