Helen "Maxine" Pinson, 78

SEAFORD - Helen "Maxine" Pinson of Seaford died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. She was 78.

She worked at Peebles Department Store, Seaford, and the Hallmark Store, Seaford. She and her husband also operated the Old Inlet Boat Ramp Tackle Shop, Indian River.

Mrs. Pinson was a member of the Sussex Chapter 7 and Frankford Chapter 12 Orders of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Pinson in 2003; and a son, Gary Pinson in 2005.

She is survived by a son, James Pinson of Ocean View; a daughter-in-law, Bobbi Pinson of Seaford; a brother, Charles Kenneth "Linden" Hobbs of Lexington, Ky.; two grandchildren, Judith Brewer of Laurel and Michael Pinson of Laverne, Calif.; five half brothers and half sisters, Billy, Larry, Donna, Joy and Janie, all of Lexington; four great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Esther Berner of Seaford.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford, where friends may call one hour earlier.

There will be an Eastern Star Service at 1:45 p.m.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.
