Helen Earlene Smith, 54 DOVER - Helen Earlene Smith, of Dover, departed this life in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 54. Helen was born March 18, 1954, in Harlem Hospital in Manhattan, N.Y., to the late Clarence Moore and Bertha Crump. Helen was employed at Falcon Furniture in Dover and Furniture Barn in New Castle. She loved listening to music, cross word puzzles, dancing and going to parties. Helen loved all of her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She loved angels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Owen Lee Owens and her step-father, Bernard Owens. She leaves to mourn her loss three sons, Wakii A. Moore (Diana) of Fort Bragg, N.C.; Terah K. Moore of and his fiancé Carla Ridgeway both of Dover, Jahmel A. Smith of Wilmington; four brothers, Clarence Moore, Lawrence Owens, Stanley Owens all of Dover, Bernard Owens of Salisbury, Md., Sterling and Evelyn Logan of Manhattan, N.Y., who raised her; one sister, Marisha Bradshaw of Manhattan, N.Y.; one uncle ,Nathaniel Sales and one aunt, Helen Sales both of Norfolk, Va.; nine grandchildren, Devin, Jaiden, Bianca, Angel, Jasmine, Tationa, Jaiden, Terah and Victoria; two best friends, Greggie White and Allison Pettyjohn; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, in Bennie Smith Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, in Bibleway COGIC, Dover, where friends may view two hours prior. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery.
