DOVER - Helen Ann Bloom, of Dover, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008, at her home in Dover. She was 78.
She was born March 29, 1930, in Medina, N.Y., to the late Samuel and Rose (Fitzgerald) Hightower.
Helen was a member of the Bravo organization, DAV Widows Club and the Sunshine Foundation.
She was a longtime resident of Dover and volunteered for the Dover Airbase community.
Helen enjoyed reading, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Bloom.
Helen is survived by son, Steven Bloom of Dover; daughter, Laura Archacki of Quarryville, Pa.; and grandchildren, Amanda and Michael Jr.
Remembrance services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to The Breast Cancer Relief Fund, 615 Baronne St., Suite 301, New Orleans, LA 70113.
