Hazel Bravata Suchko

DOVER - Hazel Bravata Suchko passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019.
Hazel was born in Dover on Nov. 30, 1922 to the late Anthony and Meta Bravata. She worked for the State of Delaware for many years and in her retirement enjoyed quilting, bowling, and NASCAR racing, especially Jeff Gordon.
Mrs. Suchko is survived by her four children, Andrea Price of Milford, Janice Hobbs (Stanley) of Wyoming, Nicholas Suchko, Jr., and Susan Plucenik (Mark) of Dover. She is also survived by a sister, Rose Adams of Felton; sisters-in-law, Patricia Bravata of Dover, and Mary Coccagna of Lowber, Pa.; and brother-in-law, Andrew Suchko of Belle Vernon, Pa.; as well as five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Nicholas Ryan Suchko; siblings, June Bravata, Josephine Rowlinson, and Robert Bravata; and her former husband, Nicholas Suchko, Sr.
A service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Trader's Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, DE 19901 at 11 a.m. where friends may call one hour before the time of the service. Graveside services will be private at Lakeside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Dr., Suite 407, Newark, DE 19713; First State Animal Center and SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934; or the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation, 1310 S. Tryon St., Suite 105, Charlotte, NC 28203.
