BRIDGEVILLE - Hayward Albert Dredden of Bridgeville died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford.
Mr. Dredden was born in Whaleysville, Md., son of the late Pearl Jackson and Ford Duncan.
He completed his education at Frederick Douglass Elementary School, Seaford. He received various certificates from law enforcement, which led him to work on the Bridgeville police force for several years.
After serving on the police force, Mr. Dredden worked as a security guard at Delaware State College (now Delaware State University). He later became head of security at the college. He was employed there for 20 1/2 years before retiring.
