Harvey L. Bond

DOVER - Harvey L. Bond formerly of Clayton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 04, 2017 at the Healthsouth Rehabilitation Center, Middletown. Mr. Bond was born Aug. 3, 1938 in Frisco Collin County, Texas to the late Lee N. Bond and Dorothy May McMahan Bond. He served in the United States Army & Air Force retiring as a TSgt. after 22 years, in 1976. Mr. Bond was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church singing in the choir and more recently the Living Waters Christian Church in Dover. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, 32 degree Shriner and Past Master of Harmony Lodge #13 AF&AM in Smyrna. Mr. Bond enjoyed fishing, was active in AA and had helped many others and had been a member for 27 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey E. Bond; and step-son, Edward W. Loller. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Barbara Durham Bond of Dover; son, James Lee Bond; step-son, Glen A. Loller of Elkton, Md.; daughters, Denise Michelle Bond of Dover and Jeanie Ann Bond of Camden; brother, Earl Ray Bond; and sister, Bonita Sue Champine both of Texas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6-8 Friday evening. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
