Hartzell Emanuel Coppage, 56
LYNCHBURG, VA -Hartzell "Hart" Emanuel Coppage, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 17, 2009, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 56. He was the loving husband of Diana Dashiell Coppage for 24 years. Mr. Coppage was born in Salisbury, Md., the son of the late George Herman Coppage Jr. and Irene Walker Coppage. He was a member of Hyland Heights Baptist Church, a former member of Calvary Assembly of God in Dover, participating in several mission trips. He was employed by Delaware DMV for 19 years, Virginia DMV for six years, and the City of Lynchburg with the streets division. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George H. Coppage III. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Amy L. Witt and her husband Steven of Evington, Va.; one granddaughter, Marissa Raye Witt of Evington, Va.; and one sister, Wynell Ebaugh of Dover. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the Tharp Funeral Home Chapel, Lynchburg, Va. and at Calvary Assembly of God, DE, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009.
