MILLINGTON, Md. - Harry Yoder of Millington died at his home on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2007. He was 78.
Mr. Yoder was born in Wayne County, Ohio, the son of the late Adam E. and Lydia Kaufman Yoder.
Mr. Yoder was a Masonry contractor by trade, but his true love was God.
Mr. Yoder was the bishop of Harmony Christian Fellowship in Millington for many years and a very well known evangelist.
Mr. Yoder was also known for his care and compassion especially for his wife the last 10 years.
He enjoyed traveling and reading.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Yoder was preceded in death by his wife, Lizzie Ann Yoder; a son, Wayne Yoder; two brothers; and four sisters.
He is survived by four daughters, Ruth Schlahach of Sugar Creek, Ohio, Wilma Ebersol of Leola, Pa., Miriam Gatling of Chestertown, and Arlene Beechy of Millington; two sons, Freeman Yoder and Timothy Yoder both of Millington; four sisters, Edna Yoder of Apple Creek, Ohio, Sarah Mast of Millersburg, Ohio, Fannie Kiem of Apple Creek, Ohio and Arie Raber of Dundee, Ohio; two brothers, Eli Yoder of Millersburg, Ohio and Adam Yoder of Fredericksburg, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. today in the Harmony Christian Fellowship, Millington, where friends and family may call one hour prior.
Interment will be in the adjoining churchyard cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory be sent to the Harmony Christian Fellowship c/o Mahlon Stoltzfus, 1800 Dudley Corner Road, Millington, MD 21651.
