Harry M. Fisher

FELTON - Harry M. Fisher, Jr. passed away peacefully at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018.
Harry was born in Milford to the late Harry and Elsie (Dancer) Fisher, Sr.
Mr. Fisher was a star athlete for Felton High School in basketball and baseball. In 1948 he led the state in scoring in basketball. He continued to play softball and basketball into his 60's, as well as coaching little league. He also spent countless hours watching his children and grandchildren playing sports.
Harry was a Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Blake Fisher; and three sisters, Lillian Fisher, Col. Anna Edythe Hooker and Mary Clarie Nashold.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Fisher; his children, Harry 'Mike' Fisher, III and his wife Terry and Tracy Louder and her husband Darrell; his grandchildren, Harry 'Mickey' Fisher IV, Jeffrey Blake Fisher II, Amanda Fisher, Nicholas Blake Louder, Dillan Alexander Louder; and great-granddaughter, Lilliana Mae Leone.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018 at 12 noon in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main St., Felton, DE 19943, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Hopkins Cemetery.
