DOVER - Harold "Hale" Cleveland Cook went home to Heaven on January 17, 2022, at home, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Harold grew up in Woodside, Del. and later in the Sandtown, Camden, Dover area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Hilda Cook in 1979 and 1980; and his sister, Katherine Coleman in 2016.
He is survived by his loving wife and devoted caretaker, Yuexia "Lucy" Liu; as well as his three children, Nichole (Bob) Penick, Jeffrey (Sarah) Jones, Holly (John) Goodman; Michelle Jones Nickerson (mother of his children); grandchildren, Kate-Lynn, Logan, Mugen and Marilyn; sister, Charlotte (Joe) Arsenault; nephews, Shannon Cockrell and Anthony Gizara; niece, Amy (Chris) Messick; great nephews and niece, Jared, Dane and Morgan; aunts, Jessie Mobley and Marie Cameron; and many cousins.
Harold became a Journeyman Electrician and worked the past 22 years for Messina's Plumbing and Heating. Over the years, he developed and or continued close, family -like, friendships with Charlie and Carolyn Messina, Kenny French and many others.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2022, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
