FELTON - Grace M. Turner, of Felton, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Milford Center. She was 98.
She was born in Felton, the son of the late Walter Hughes and Cora (Heyde) Hughes.
Mrs. Turner graduated from Felton High School in 1927 and the University of Pennsylvania in 1931.
She was a registered nurse and had worked for the state of Delaware Home for the Chronically Ill in Smyrna for 15 years.
Mrs. Turner was a member of the Felton United Methodist Church, Felton Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Felton Historical Society and the Community Democrat Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Holiday Turner, in 1950; and a son, Dr. Morris L. Turner, in May 2005.
She is survived by her son, Terrance Turner and his wife Margee of Lewes; daughter-in-law, Sheila Turner of Felton; four grandchildren, Lee H. Turner and his wife Joan, Jan Clapp and her husband David, Marcelle Kenney and her husband Daniel and Matthew Turner; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Bay Road, Frederica.
