Gloria A. MacMillan

DOVER - Gloria A. MacMillan (nee Liggan), age 91, passed away on March 1, 2016, at the Brandywine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of failing health. She was born in Richmond, Virginia, on November 6, 1924, the daughter of Mozelle and Clyde Liggan. After completing her education, she married James MacMillan on July 24, 1943. All of her married life was spent in Dover, where she was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Dover. She also enjoyed traveling, playing golf, dancing, and many types of music. Gloria is survived by her children, James MacMillan, of Felton, Donald MacMillan (Teri) of Milford; and a stepdaughter, Judith Ulrich (Fred) of Gill, Mass. She leaves nine grandchildren, Kelly Sanchez (Bill), Susan McNeil (John), Katie Ferretti, Molly MacMillan, Christine MacMillan, Michael MacMillan (Caitie), David Ulrich (Alyssa), and Christopher Ulrich. She also leaves nine great-grandchildren, Allesandro and Christian Sanchez, Jake McNeil, Eva Taylor, Elizabeth and Gianna Ferretti, as well as Brody, Cameron, and Carson Ulrich. A short memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 South Bradford St., Dover, after a visitation hour from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read's Way #205, New Castle, DE 19720 or your favorite charity. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
