Harmon, 90 MILFORD - Glenden Ambrose Harmon, age 90, of Milford, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at DHCI in Smyrna, after a lengthy illness. Born on April 30, 1921, the son of the late Ambrose and Virginia Harmon, the loving husband of the late Rachel E. Harmon, devoted father of eight children, Alvin Harmon (Veda), Marlene Harmon, Frances Harmon, Alisia Miles (Edward), Michael Harmon, Beverly Bruce, Glendon Harmon (Jacqueline), and Valerie Davis (Thomas); 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, two nieces Jean Foster and Dale Wideman (Brian); one nephew, William Harris; and many cousins, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Home going services are 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Mt. Enon Baptist Church 600 N. Church St. Milford, where a viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at 10 a.m. Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover. www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com.
