Glenda Leah Threet
Glenda Leah Threet was born to Frances and Lewis Page on July 15, 1938. She died on February 3, 2024, preceded by her husband, William Threet, several siblings, and one grandchild. She is survived by two brothers, Daniel and David Page, and three children: Merrill Smith, Jr. and wife, Linda; Sherry Harvey and husband, Mark; and Rose Savage and husband, Merritt. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Glenda was raised with nine siblings in Exeter, New Hampshire. There, she married the airman who would become the father of her children, and the family eventually landed in Delaware. After a divorce, she met her second husband only to be widowed after a few short years. Later in life, she met her last and true love, Bill. The pair would marry and stay in Magnolia. Glenda retired from the Caesar Rodney School District in 2000, where she'd been a cafeteria manager. She loved her family and hosted many gatherings in her small home.
After Bill's passing in 2000, Glenda found joy in her cats, gardening, and true crime TV. She also enjoyed reading until her eyesight failed.
As Glenda's health declined, she was placed in a long-term care facility. She passed peacefully, surrounded with love, glad to be reunited with her beloved Bill.
Graveside services will be held 1:00pm Monday, Feb. 12th at Sharon Hills Memorial Park Dover. Visitation will be offered 11:30am to 12:30pm at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901.
