Gertrude Virginia Reed

DOVER Gertrude "Bonnie" Virginia Reed of died Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at Cortland Manor Nursing Home in Dover.
Mrs. Reed was born Feb. 15, 1932 in Millington, Md., the daughter of the late Benjamin Graham and Ella "Robbins" Graham.
After receiving her GED, Mrs. Reed then went to nursing school to become an LPN. She moved to Delaware over 30 years ago and worked for a number of nursing homes, most recently the Modern Maturity Center. She loved animals and supported many local SPCA's. She also enjoyed reading, watching documentaries on TV and Critter care for all animals.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her past five spouses; one son, Olin Clough; and one daughter, Faith Frank.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Cordrey of Millsboro and Carla King of Frederica; four sisters, Anne Hammer (George) of Dallas, Texas, Margurite Godwin of Jacksonville, Fla., Doris Griffith of Easton, Md., and Brenda McCullin of New Castle; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Fellows Family Funeral Home, 370 Cypress St., Millington, Md. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Crumpton Cemetery , Crumpton, Md. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.fhnfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to First State Animal Center and SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
