HARRINGTON - George E. Lawrence of Harrington died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, in the Milford Center, Genesis Eldercare, Milford. He was 78.
Mr. Lawrence was born in Easton, Md., son of the late Robert Edward and Frances V. (Holland) Lawrence.
He was a groom in the horse racing industry.
Mr. Lawrence worked for Bobby and Gloria Morris for more than 20 years, as well as the Dancer family and other numerous horse owners throughout Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Virginia Lawrence.
Mr. Lawrence is survived by a host of family, caregivers and friends.
Services will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer"s Unit at The Milford Center, 700 Marvel Road, Milford, DE 19963.
