George H. Saunders, 70
CHESTERTOWN, Md. - George H. Saunders, of Chestertown, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, in Chester River Manor, Chestertown. He was 70.
Mr. Saunders was born April 25, 1936, son of the late Samuel F. Saunders Sr. and Mary Smith.
He attended Garnett Elementary and High schools.
Before his retirement, Mr. Saunders worked for S.E.W. Friels Cannery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel D. Saunders Jr. and James Saunders.
He is survived by three brothers, Robert L. Saunders of Columbia, S.C., and Louis Saunders and Theodore Saunders, both of Chestertown; a sister, Marjorie R. Gilbert of Chestertown; a brother-in-law, Claude Gilbert Sr. of Chestertown; two sisters-in-law, Marion Saunders of Columbia, and Frances Saunders of Wilmington; an uncle, Billy Saunders; and two aunts, Margaret Wright of Ewington, Md., and Dorothy Byrd of Wilmington.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Faith Unity Church, Millington.
A viewing will be two hours prior to the service.
Burial will be in Rich Neck Hall, Ewington.
