George Elwood Walls

George Elwood Walls, 57

INGLESIDE, Md. - George Elwood Walls, of Ingleside, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, unexpectedly at his home. He was 57.

He was born on Jan. 25, 1951, in Dover, Del., to the late Elwood Walls Jr. and Helen Reed Walls of Ingleside.

George was a loving son, brother, husband, and father, and a good neighbor to all.

A lifelong resident of Ingleside, he graduated from Queen Anne's County High School in 1969 and was a U.S. Army veteran.

A master electrician by trade, George has worked at Chesapeake College for the last 16 years and completed his associates degree in 1998.

He was strong in his faith and was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, serving as a board member, trustee, sound technician, and Sunday school teacher.

George had a lifetime love of covered bridges and trains (big and small) and was a member of the First State Model Railroad and Delmarva Train Clubs.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 11 years, Christy Andrews Walls; two daughters, Angela Marie and Erin Nicole Walls; and a sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Donald Nickolson, all of Ingleside.

Services will be 6 p.m. Monday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Ingleside, where friends may call one hour prior.

Burial will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions bay be sent to the Erin N. Walls Fund, payable to Erin W. Walls, UTMA, c/o Christy Walls, P.O. Box 1, Ingleside, MD 21644.
