Gary Lee Dickerson

GREENWOOD - Gary Lee Dickerson, Sr. passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018. He was born in Milford, on April 11, 1944, son of the late Harvey and Marie (Houteman) Dickerson.
Mr. Dickerson retired from DuPont and worked at New Process Fiber in Greenwood for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Greenwood Fire Company for 56 years. Above all else, Mr. Dickerson was a true family man, his grandchildren were his life.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dickerson was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Dickerson. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith A. Dickerson; two sons, Gary L. Dickerson, Jr. and his wife Pamela and Michael J. Dickerson and his wife Cindy; two grandchildren, Paige Dickerson and Ashley Dickerson; and his brother, Robert Dickerson.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the Parsell Funeral Home & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE 19933, where friends may call beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Dickerson's name to St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
