CLAYTON, Del. - Gail Ann Schrader-Swieder "Gailziean" passed away on May 16, 2022.
She was born in Elkton, Md. on September 1, 1961, to the late Anna Frances Abrams and George Vernon Schrader. She was a sister to four brothers, grew up on farms, loved playing outdoors and playing with dolls, and loved all animals except snakes.
Gail was a 1980 graduate of Smyrna High School and had been employed as an office worker. She was a proud homemaker and enjoyed gardening.
She enjoyed spending time with friends, and especially her grandchildren as well as going on beach trips and entertaining large cookouts for all to enjoy. Gail loved to joke around and enjoyed life to the fullest with those she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Swieder; daughter, Amanda; three grandchildren, Dakota, Hailey, and Skyler; her brothers, George, Kenneth, and Harold Schrader; and her beloved puppy, Savannah.
In addition to her parents; she was predeceased by her brother, Allen.
A visitation will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna. A memorial reception will follow at the American Legion 107 W. Glenwood Ave., Smyrna at 12 p.m. Interment will be private.
