CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Frederick J. "Fritz" McCall Sr. of Chestertown died Nov. 1, 2006, in his home. He was 76.
Mr. McCall was born May 7, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of late Frank and Mary Elizabeth (Fugazzi) McCall.
He was a Jesuit Brother and later a horticultural salesman.
He enjoyed cooking, entertaining, photography, reading and traveling.
Mr. McCall moved to the Chestertown area in 1974, where he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and active with the Knights of Columbus Fr. George S. Bradford Council 11248 and Fr. James W. Lutz Assembly 2702.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William McCall, and his twin brother, Francis McCall.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Catherine (Curran) McCall; a son, Frederick 'Fritz' McCall Jr. and his companion, Soyong Cho, of Arlington, Va.; a brother and a sister-in-law, Peter and Catherine McCall of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Mary Jean Price of Kings Park, N.Y.; and a sister-in-law, Catherine McCall of West Islip, N.Y.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, High Street, Chestertown.
Burial will be in the Galena Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Chester River Home Care and Hospice, 6602 Church Hill Road, Chestertown, MD 21620.
