DENTON, Md. - Franklin K. Stockman Sr. of Denton died Friday, June 8, 2007, in the Memorial Hospital in Easton. He was 89.
Mr. Stockman was born in Frederick, son of the late Lester Stockman and Martha Ambrose Stockman.
He was a World War II Marine veteran.
Mr. Stockman worked the docks in Baltimore, at Standard Oil for many years. He also worked in Dundalk, inspecting imported cars on the docks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy E. Stockman, Feb. 9, 2007; two sons, Earle E. Eder and David Lynn Stockman; a daughter, Nancy Lee Stockman; a brother, Raymond Stockman and two sisters, Helen Chalk and Mary Rogers.
He is survived by a son, Franklin K. Stockman Jr. and his wife, Lou of Denton; two daughters, Rachel Ludwig and her husband, Jim, of Baltimore and Genie Harris of Baltimore; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Leonard Ruck Funeral Home, 5305-09 Harford Road, Baltimore, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in the Garden of Faith Cemetery, 5598 Trumps Mill Road, Baltimore.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Homestead Manor, 410 Colonial Drive, Denton, MD 21629.
