MAGNOLIA - Franklin J. Roe, 82, of Magnolia died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Bayhealth Kent General, Dover. He was born in Magnolia to parents Lawrence and Ellen Roe. He worked on the family farm until 1960. He worked in carpentry for the next 25 years, part of that time at Conventional Builders. After that he worked 4 years as a custodian in the Lake Forest School District. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and William. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma R. Roe; one son, Jeffrey A. Roe, at home; one daughter, Debra Roe Virdin and her husband David Virdin of Canterbury; and two sisters, Helen Balch of Chevy Chase, Md., and Doris Shockley of Magnolia. Services will be Thursday, Oct. 21, at Barratts Chapel, Frederica, at 2 p.m., where friends may call one hour prior. Internment will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements by Price Funeral Home, Harrington.
