Frances S. Scotton

Frances S. Scotton, 83

CAMDEN - Frances S. Scotton of Camden passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at her daughter's home in Felton. She was 83.

She was born Nov. 11, 1924, in Clayton, to the late Aurthur and Viola Mae (Brown) Scott.

She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God, Dover.

Mrs. Scotton was a nurse's aide for the Delaware Home and Hospital, Smyrna, and retired in 1982.

She also worked for the Capital School District in the cafeteria.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Scotton Sr.; three sons, Clarence H. Scotton Jr., Carl Davis and Tommy Davis; and a great-great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Nicole Wilson.

Mrs. Scotton is survived by her daughters, Emma Lawrence of Leipsic, Joyce Burks of Ketchum, Okla., Brenda Bradley of Wyoming and Linda Burke of Felton; a stepdaughter, Faye Jackson of Hartly; a sister, Helen Cahall of Clayton; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Celebration of life services will be noon Thursday in Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior.

Burial will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Delaware Hospice, 911 Lotus Plaza, Dover, DE 19901.
