HARTLY - Frances Mary Mason peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.
Mrs. Mason was born on April 4, 1937 in New Cassel North Hempstead, N.Y., the daughter of the late Michael James Corcoran and Edith Catherine (VanWickler) Corcoran.
She was an avid gardener who loved her flowers. Her family has fond memories of her baked goods and special treats for Christmas and of her decorating the home for the Holidays. Frances just loved her family. Above all, Frances will be remembered as a three-generation mom. She raised her kids, grandkids, and even great grandkids as if they were her own children. She modeled her life after Jesus always serving. She truly put her life on hold for the sake of her family and for those she cared about.
She was preceded in death by her sweetheart of 62 years, her husband Roger Mason just two weeks ago.
Frances is survived by her five children, Eddie, Judy, Billy, Timmy, and Brian; 21 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren with 2 additional on the way. She is also survived by her three sisters and two brothers, Mary, Margaret, Edith, Mike, and Jimmy; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church, located at 1575 Bryn Zion Road in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 7 p.m.
Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
