Florence R. 'Lolly' Pappas, 80
SMYRNA - Florence R. 'Lolly' Pappas of Smyrna died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 80.
Mrs. Pappas was born April 14, 1926, in Phoenixville, Pa., daughter of the late John and Genevieve Suisse Czukiewski.
She was very proud of her Polish heritage.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and neighbors.
Mrs. Pappas enjoyed going to the beach, reading and watching old movies. She was a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Pappas; four children, John J. Pappas of Smyrna, Linda Still and her husband, Ron of Smyrna, Debbie Poore and her special friend, Nick Blendy of Chesapeake City, Md., and Jerry Pappas of Felton; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Pappas of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be noon Thursday in Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Polycarps Church, 135 Ransom Lane, Smyrna, DE 19977.
