MILFORD – F. Albert Webb, III, age 99, passed away peacefully in the Country Rest Home near Greenwood on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Albert was born on March 13, 1917, in his parents' farm home in Milford Neck. He was the son of the late Albert and Sarah Sipple Webb. He graduated from Milford High School in 1937 and married his former classmate, Sarah Simpson, in 1941. Albert worked as a brick mason for the Walton H. Simpson Construction Company in Camden for over 40 years. He was very proud of the many beautiful churches and homes in Kent and Sussex Counties that he helped build. As a young man, Albert enjoyed swimming, fishing, and hunting along the bay and marshes with his brother and friends. He was the pitcher for his high school baseball team. Following his retirement, Albert enjoyed having breakfast each morning with his friends, helping his son with farm work, mowing his yard, driving, reminiscing about growing up on his family's farm, and spending time with his grandson. Albert was preceded in death by Sarah, his wife of 66 years; his son, Francis A. Webb; and his brothers, James, Bill and Tom. He is survived by his daughter, Sara Webb Towers and her husband, Wesley; his grandson, David W. Towers and his wife, Patricia; and his granddaughter, Laura Towers Yazemboski and her husband, Brian. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, Annie, Matthew and Davey Towers, Mark and Eric Yazemboski. The family would like to thank the staff of the Country Rest Home for their kind and loving care of Albert during his recent illness. A viewing will be 11 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2016, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford. The funeral will follow at 12 p.m. Burial will be at Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington.
