SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Evelyn M. Rash, of Sudlersville, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, in Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 80.
Born in Wilmington, Del., she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Myra Arnett Taylor.
Mrs. Rash was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, reading and search word puzzles.
For many years she enjoyed crocheting and sewing and collecting tea cups and saucers.
She also loved to travel.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rash was preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd and Arthur Taylor and Bob and John "Junie" O'Neal; and three sisters, Doris Simon, Sis Shahan and Henrietta Pratt.
Mrs. Rash is survived by her husband of 60 years, Roland Rash; one son, Roland Rash II of Galena; and two daughters, Darlene Solloway of Millington and Dorothy Cocklin of Chestertown; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ned Taylor of Georgetown, Del., and Joseph Taylor of Wilmington.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Fellows Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington, where friends and family may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
Interment will be in the Sudlersville Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to the American Cancer Society, Eastern Shore Chapter, 1358 Parsons Road, Salisbury, MD 21801.
