Ethel Breeding

GREENWOOD - Ethel "Betty" Breeding passed away on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 at the Milford Center. Betty was born Nov. 1, 1927 the daughter of the late Fred and Florence Butler Walls on the family farm in Greenwood. She remained on the farm until her death. She was involved working on the farm with her late husband Alton who passed July 25, 2015. She graduated from Greenwood High School in 1945. Later in life she worked at the Greenwood school cafeteria for 27 years. Betty loved gardening, crocheting, and canning in the summer and she was a wonderful cook. She spent time watching the deer and turkeys from her porch. She enjoyed watching all kinds of sporting events with her husband and loved just being around her grandkids. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Walls. She is survived by (2) sons, Ronald and his wife Susan, and Robin and his wife Carol; six grandchildren, Chris and his wife Karen, Steve, Jason, Collin, Caroline, and Corbin and his wife Connie; five great-grandchildren, Abigail, Kiera, MacKenzie, Madden, and Manning; and a sister-in-law Mildred Walls. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, noon at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St, Greenwood, Del. 19950. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Friday from 11 to 12 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Greenwood Alumni Association, c/o Roger Butler, 3195 Andrewville Rd, Greenwood, Del. 19950.
