Esther May Fairbrother, 80

DOVER - Esther May Fairbrother of Dover died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, in her home. She was 80.

Mrs. Fairbrother was born Nov. 29, 1926, in Morrisville, Pa., to the late Joseph C. Effinger and Mabel W. White Effinger.

She served as a secretary in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1950 to 1954.

Mrs. Fairbrother was a retired civil servant where she worked as a secretary/office worker in several cities and countries including Korea, Philadelphia and Arizona.

She had attended the Liberty Church in Dover and was a Green Bay Packers fan.

Mrs. Fairbrother was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Melvin Fairbrother in 1992.

She is survived by her two brothers, Joseph C. Effinger II of Bridgeville and George "Mickey" Effinger of Frederica; and her sister, Mabel Moore of Dover.

Services will be private.
