Camden - Erskine Franklin Hopson, "Hop" passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, in Envoy of Denton.
Mr. Hopson was born, Oct. 21, 1933, in Red Ash, Va.
He served proudly in the United States Marine Corp, for over 20 years, serving in both the Korean & Vietnam Wars. In his free time, Hop enjoyed playing softball, Skydiving, watching T.V., playing Nintendo Video Games, and playing the Lottery. He was an avid sports fan, and liked watching pro and college sports; football, baseball, basketball, and his beloved Miami Dolphins and Boston Celtics.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; and sisters; and his loving companion of many years, Milly Eashum.
Hop is survived by his step-children, Dale Eashum & wife, Cheryl, of Wyoming, Richard Eashum & wife, Debbie, of Dover, Mark Eashum, of Willow Grove, and Julie Memmolo & husband, Louis, of Dover; grandchildren, Kyle Eashum, Jared Eashum, Stacy Martin, Sam Eashum, Megan Eashum, Stephen Eashum, Chelsea Memmolo and Nick Memmolo; and seven great-granddaughters.
Funeral Services with Full Military Honors, will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2017, in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.
