STILL POND, Md. - Ernest Thomas Waters Jr., of Still Pond, finished his work on the Earth and was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at home. He was 49.

He was born Aug. 1, 1958, to the late Ernest Thomas Waters Sr. and Anna Rebecca Earl.

Ernest, was affectionately known as "Hotts," and attended Kent County High School and served in the National Guard.

Throughout the years, he worked for several local establishments around Kent County. For all of his hard work, he was given the great reward of starting his own business with his wife.

Ernest liked to meet new people and he touched the lives of many. He was very talkative, outgoing and always had something good to say to anyone he came in contact with.

He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his wife. He was a devoted husband, father and friend.

In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his brother, Austin Waters Sr.

With his loss, he leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 27 years, Sheila Waters of Still Pond; two daughters, Dana Floyd of Elkton and Shree Waters of Chestertown; one son, Ernest Waters of Still Pond; two grandsons, Elijah Monk and Zyaire Nuriddin of Elkton; two sisters, Anna Waters and Madline Waters; one aunt, Lilian Caulk of Chestertown; two uncles, James Caulk of Chestertown and John Caulk of Melitota; seven sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law; a devoted cousin, James Bridles of Chestertown; two devoted friends, Darrell Gould of Pondtown and Rochelle Wilson of Grasonville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Union United Methodist Church, Worton.

Services will be noon Saturday in the church, where friends may view two hours prior.

Burial will be private.

Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Worton.
