Elsie Mae (Washington) Wilson, 81

CECILTON, Md. - Elsie Mae (Washington) Wilson of Cecilton died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, in Heartland Hospice Home in Delaware. She was 81.

Born Nov. 18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Sterling and Nellie J. (Coursey) Washington.

She was a member of the Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she enjoyed singing and spending time with her family.

She was employed at Vita Foods Inc., Campbell Soup Company, Kitty Knight House, Elkton Tribute Explosive Planet and Hotel DuPont.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Albert Wilson; a daughter, Maxine Ash of Cecilton; two children, Jeffrey Ash and Jason Ash; two grandchildren, Evan Ash and Faryn Ash; four sisters, Hazel Fitzgerald of Wilmington, Rita Harris of Philadelphia; Barbara Phillips of Cecilton and Frances Benson of Wilmington; two brothers-in-law, Frank Benson and Lewis Wilson; and two sisters-in-law, Helen Gaines and Mary Brooks, both of Worton.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Cecilton.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the church, where friends may also call two hours earlier.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
