Swartzentruber, 96 GREENWOOD - Ella M. Swartzentruber of Greenwood passed away on January 27, 2014 at the Country Rest Home at the age of 96 years. She was born on September 4, 1917 in Mark Center, Ohio to Martin and Salome Yoder. She married Mark Swartzentruber on August 10, 1940, and served faithfully by his side as a pastor's wife and a mother to eight children, Duane, of Rehoboth Beach, Marlin and wife Iona of Bradenton, Fla., Linford and wife Joanne of Hamburg, Pa., Goldie Fretz and husband Paul of Marion, Pa., Glenda Byler and husband Norman of Greenwood, Verla Byler and husband Dave of Columbia, Ga., Roger and wife Wava of Greenwood, and Daisy Miller of Goshen, Ind. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren; by a sister, Martha Troyer of Altha, Fla.; and a brother, Martin Yoder, Jr. of Sky Valley, Calif. She was preceded in death by Mark, her husband of 55 years; sisters, Mary Howe and Laura Wissemen; and brothers, Albert Yoder, Henry Yoder, Perry Yoder, Clyde Yoder, Monroe Yoder, and Paul Yoder. Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014; Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. All services will be held a the Greenwood Mennonite Church. Interment will be held at the church's cemetery. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood.
