MILFORD - Elizabeth M. 'Betty' Mills passed away peacefully at her home in Milford on Monday, May 9, 2016. Betty was born on August 7, 1926 in Milton, Del. to John and Elsie (Davidson) Reynolds. She attended Milton High School, where she was Salutatorian of her graduating class. She went to work at the former Milford Trust Company as a bookkeeper. She carried that experience into the family business, Edgar Mills & Son Farms, Inc., where she also drove a school bus for almost 40 years. She was a member of Calvary Methodist Church in Milford. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, L. Edgar Mills, Jr. in 2003. She is survived by a son, Alan E. Mills and his wife, Arenath (Tuttle) Mills; two grandsons, Mark Mills and Brett Mills; one brother, Norman Reynolds and his wife Gladys, all of Milford; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Gina, Jackie, Diana, Doris and Tori. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 12 noon. A visitation will take place from 10 am until 12 noon. Interment will be at the Milford Community Cemetery, Milford, DE.
