SMYRNA - Elizabeth D. Brocklehurst, of Smyrna, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, in Christiana Hospital. She was 67.
Mrs. Brocklehurst was born April 21, 1939, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Stanley and Sophie Majkowski.
She worked as a payroll technician for Dover Air Force Base for 26 years before retiring.
Mrs. Brocklehurst enjoyed gardening and being a homemaker.
She was a member of the American Legion David C. Harrison Post 14 Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Brocklehurst was thought of as a wonderful sister by her siblings.
She is survived by four daughters, Donna Marie Smith of Smyrna, Carol Horn of Clayton, Suzanne Potter and Elizabeth Smith, both of Smyrna; a brother, Joseph Majkowski and his wife, Eileen of Claymont; two sisters, Sophie Krzyzanowski and her husband, Edmund, and Martha Keely and her husband, James, all of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Desiree Wilson, Jessica Lawrie, Joseph P. Dugan III and Joshua Beckwith; and a great-granddaughter, Autum Wilson.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Hedwig"s Roman Catholic Church, 408 S. Harrison St., Wilmington.
Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Ave., Wilmington.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Elizabeth Brocklehurst Memorial Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 7 S. Main St., Smyrna, DE 19977.
