After a successful banking career, he worked in sales at Boulevard and McGee Motors in Georgetown, until health issues resulted in retirement. To keep busy, he enjoyed collecting lighthouses and Delaware history books. He also liked to research his families' genealogy. Mitch was proud to be called a Republican and enjoyed spending time at Trails End near Chincoteague, Va. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Elma and Ralph Leedom.
