Keough, Jr., 79
GEORGETOWN - On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, Edward J. (Eddie) Keough, Jr. originally of Philadelphia, Pa., was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven by his daughter, Carolyn. Eddie was the son of the late Edward and Lenore Keough of Philadelphia, Pa.
The greatest joy in Eddie's life was being the best Pop-Pop to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always looked for opportunity to spoil the kids with trips to McDonalds, money for good report cards, and the occasional mom-restricted video game. He was known for asking the kids for impromptu Christmas concerts, watching every game his grandkids had when he could (and then giving them money!), and was always ready to sit on the couch to read a book with whatever grandchild was around. Eddie always put his family first and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Eddie was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn; and brother, Thomas.
He is survived by his devoted wife and loyal companion of 59 years, Susan Keough; six loving children, Sue (Jeff) Tatum, David (Stephanie) Keough, Joanne Keough, Diane (Elvis) Sierra, Michele Keough, and Ryan Keough; grandchildren, Matthew, Christian, Isabel, Aidan, Jeffrey, Brandon, Devon, Amanda, Emily, and Logan; great-grandchildren, Alex, Ashton, and Emily; brothers, Donald, Steven, John, and James; and sisters, Joyce and Lynda.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eddie's name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
Arrangements in the care of Short Funeral Services, Georgetown. Online condolences may be left at www.shortfuneralservicesand- cremation.com
