MILFORD - Edward Frank Comly Jr., of Milford, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, in Elkton, Md. He was 58.
Mr. Comly was born in Wilmington, son of the late Edward F. Comly Sr. and Jeanette L. Walls.
He was a 1966 graduate of Christiana High School.
Mr. Comly served in the Delaware National Guard for 28 years and served in Desert Storm.
He enjoyed flying and spending time with his family.
Mr. Comly was a former member of 4-H.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Gertrude B. Comly.
He is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Amy A. and Brian Hardy of Camden-Wyoming; a son, Edward F. Comly III of Bethany Beach; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Susan C. and Robert Davis of Nottingham, Pa., and Mary L. and Ron Farmer of Elkton; a brother and a sister-in-law, Samuel L. and Diane Comly of Bear; an aunt, Marion C. Krapf of New Castle; his former wife, Ellen M. Comly of Newark; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Emma and Abigail.
Services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Home of the Brave, 6632 Sharks Road, Milford, DE 19963.
