ELLENDALE - Edna Mae Hurd passed away on Mon., July 15, 2013 at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown. She was born in Bridgeville, Del., the daughter of the late Francis and Edna Mae (Rishaw) Messick. She was a homemaker. She was member of the Christian Tabernacle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron W. Hurd in 2001; brothers, Preston, Charlie and Robert Messick and sister, Ruth King. She is survived by her sons, Aaron L. Hurd and wife Jaime and Byron Hurd; sisters, Glenna Thompson and Mary Ann Shulties; grandchildren, Nicholas Hurd, Heidi Hurd, Aaron Hurd, Jennifer Navas, Carrie Hill and Lauren Hurd; and great grandchildren, Aaron Hurd, Abigail Grace Hill, Noah Hill, Abram Hurd, Isabella Navas and Peyton Hurd. Graveside services will be held Wed., July 17, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Road, Milton, DE. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Christian Tabernacle, P.O. Box 148, Lincoln, DE 19960. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford, DE.
