Edith L. Jones

FELTON - Edith L. Jones passed away at home on Friday, May 12, 2017. She was born in Street, Md. to the late Harry R. and Edith L. Duncan.
Mrs. Jones was a graduate of North Harford High School and was a school bus driver for many years in Harford County, Md. She was a sweet, loving person who was very smart and straight forward. She enjoyed spending time with her family and telling stories about her younger years, especially "Fred the Frog". She often shopped with QVC and HSN, liked to travel, and would only drive Buick vehicles.
Mrs Jones was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Jones; sister, Eleanor Ward; and a son, William Jones, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Roger) Hurd; grandchildren, Samantha Jo Hurd, and Valerie Victoria Hurd, Nicole Faye Ashford, Christopher William (Amber) Jones, Kari (Chris) Krumbach, Morgan (Chad) Sparks; great-grandchildren, Autumn Jo Pennell, Natalie Jo Wyatt, Remy Jones, Pepper Jones, Gavin Krumbach, Landon Sparks, and Brayden Sparks; Brother, Harry (Janet) Duncan; and brother-in-law, Paige Ward.
Services will take place at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE, at 1pm, on Tuesday, May 23, with a visitation Monday evening, May 22 from 6 to 8 pm and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday. The interment will take place on Wednesday, May 24, at Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to: Mooseheart Child City & School, Inc , Mooseheart, IL 60539
