TOWNSEND - Edgar Maghan Jr. of Townsend and Odessa, Fla., passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, in Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark. He was 75.
He was born April 2, 1931, in Freehold, N.J., son of the late Olive Nellie Toon and Edgar Maghan Sr.
Mr. Maghan farmed all of his life and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Ely; and a grandson, Michael Maghan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Nona (McChesney) Maghan; a son and a daughter-in-law, Steven and Lisa Maghan of Townsend; a daughter and a son-in-law, Janet and Edward Aumann of Freehold, N.J.; two sisters, Dorothy Wilson and Linda Altemus; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to MOT Relay for Life, c/o American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
